Ashley McCoy

My name is Ashley McCoy and I am from Oxford, Alabama. I am currently employed as a Certified Child Life Specialist at Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare, and I have started the first every Child Life Program at their Northeast Emergency center. I am a graduate from The University of Alabama with a degree in Child Life. Before I started my journey at Alabama I attended Jacksonville State University (JSU). During my time at JSU I decided to take some time off and participate in the Walt Disney World College Internship program. After my time at Disney I decided to transfer to The University of Alabama and pursue my degree in child life. Throughout my summers spent at the university I worked at a summer camp for special needs children and adults. My last semester at Alabama I participated in my internship program at The Beverly Knight Olson Children's Hospital in Macon, GA. All of these experiences have helped me become the Child Life Specialist I am today.
